Lefever Arms was the first of the “Big Five” vintage American double gun makers to close their doors, ending their production in 1914. The records for Dan Lefever’s Syracuse made double shotguns are only estimated production numbers but are known to be a fair assessment of the guns made, with a total production of just over 60,000 guns (compared to 250,000 Parkers or 500,000 L.C.
